KORU Medical Partners with the Immunoglobulin National Society (IgNS) for their #ItsMyTurn Plasma Donation Initiative

CHESTER, N.Y. - KORU Medical is excited to announce its support of the Immunoglobulin National Society’s (IgNS) #ItsMyTurn plasma donation campaign. Plasma protein therapies are used to treat a variety of chronic diseases and the need for medications derived from human plasma is rapidly increasing. Patients with immunologic, neurologic, and other conditions depend on Immunoglobulin (Ig) therapy to stay healthy and convalescent plasma and Ig therapy are being studied as treatments for COVID-19.

The ability to make enough Ig products for the patients who depend on them largely depends on the availability of donated plasma. KORU supports IgNS’ efforts to drive first-time donors to their local plasma collection center to keep the supply flowing throughout this crisis and beyond.

“We are thrilled to have KORU’s partnership and support of IgNS’ #ItsMyTurn campaign. IgNS is grateful to share this critical campaign’s mission to increase plasma donations, and help save lives. We look forward to our continued collaboration to promote patient-centric initiatives,” stated Luba Sobolevsky, PharmD, Executive Director of IgNS.

“We aim to spread awareness and encourage our employees, industry representatives and business partners to donate plasma. The safety of our patients is our number one priority, so anything we can do to help ensure that they continue to receive life-saving therapies, we will gladly support,” said Don Pettigrew, KORU’s President and CEO .

KORU is encouraging its employees, industry partners, suppliers and others to donate plasma and raise awareness of this vital issue. They will focus efforts on social media, using the #ItsMyTurn hashtag for promotion of individual and organizational activities supporting plasma donation.
